How to fill a sewing machine?

Before you start operating a sewing machine, you need to carefully study the instructions and learn how to refuel the machine. Filling each machine involves the use of two threads at the same time - the top and bottom. The lower thread is fed from the spool located in the bobbin, and the upper thread is placed in the space allocated to it and, through simple manipulation, is filled in the eye of the machine needle. Regardless of the model of the machine - manual, foot, electric - it is necessary to observe increased caution both during the refueling of the machine and at the time of sewing.

1. To start a seamstress it was easier to understand the fueling scheme, we suggest first to familiarize yourself with the sewing machine layout.

2. We wind the thread on the bobbin, at the same time take the spool for the upper thread. Then put the coil on the upper pin (a special place for the coil with threads is always in one place).

3. We fill the upper thread: as a rule, on each machine there is an instruction, most often on the body itself. The upper thread is the one that is fed from the spool and extends into the eye of the needle. Immediately before passing, it is necessary to raise the foot and place the needle at its highest position.

4. We carefully check the tension of the thread: in modern machines there is a regulator, also there are several positions that affect the final tension force.

5. Carefully check whether all stages of threading the upper thread are made correctly. We proceed to fill the bottom, for which we turn off the drive or the moss wheel. We put the bobbin in place (there may be differences depending on the model of the machine). When finished, you must turn on the wheel and rotate it several times until the bobbin is enough thread.

6. Insert the bobbin case into the shuttle, and the bobbin's finger must be aligned with the shuttle slit. If properly installed, a characteristic click should be heard.

7. Pull the thread through the hole of the slide plate and close it. Now it remains to connect both strands and bring them back, under the foot.

8. The general scheme of refueling looks like this:

Now you know how to fill a sewing machine and after careful study of all the stages you can easily cope with this task. To check, scroll a little flywheel, after lowering and lifting the needle from the hole in the plate on the upper thread should be a loop from the bottom. As you can see, threading a sewing machine is not an easy task, it requires concentration and strict consistency. But having done this procedure several times, you can perform already familiar actions in a very short time.
