Types of eccentrics for the mixer are divided according to the length and material of manufacture. It is recommended to screw eccentrics from any material into plastic pipes. But in metal - only metal products. Most often when installing a short eccentric for a mixer 3-4 cm long is used. An elongated eccentric for a mixer of 5 cm or more in length allows you to dilute the ends of the mixer in an unusual situation for a longer distance.
How to install eccentrics for the mixer?
In order to install the eccentric, first stop the water supply, both cold and hot. Check that the adapters are perfect, otherwise you need to find suitable ones.
- Wrap the PTFE tape or flax thread on the eccentric thread from the narrow side. Check that the tape or flax fit snugly and walked along the thread.
- If possible, apply a sealant paste, oil paint or silicone sealant to the seal.
- The wrench (nut or adjustable) screw the eccentric to the joint of the pipe for 5-6 turns. Pay attention to the fact that the flax simultaneously rotates with the part.
- Similarly, screw the second eccentric. Check that the mixer is fastened to both eccentrics easily and without distortion.
