Day of the physician - the history of the holiday

The day of the medical worker is traditionally celebrated on the third Sunday of June in the territory of Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova and Armenia. The holiday was started in 1980, when the Decree of the Presidium of the USSR Supreme Council "On Festive and Memorable Days" was issued. The tradition of celebrating has survived to this day.

History of the Day of the Medic

The labor of people workers in white coats was valued at all times. Throughout his life, each of us involuntarily encounters medicine, from the very moment of birth. Without medicine, its development it would hardly be possible to talk about the development of all mankind.

Each of us should appreciate the work of doctors, laboratory assistants, nurses, paramedics, paramedics and midwives. This was always the case - back in the days of the Soviet Union people treated the medical workers with great respect and celebrated the Medical Day every third Sunday in June.

Later, on October 1 , 1980, this date was officially recognized at the highest level. So, the tradition was preserved and passed on to new generations.

The history of the Day of the Medic is over 30 years old, and this tradition does not lose its relevance. And this day is celebrated not only by doctors and junior medical personnel, but also by all those who have at least an indirect relation to the salvation of human lives. And this is chemists, biologists, laboratory technicians, engineers and technologists - all those who participate in the development of new equipment and medicines for the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases.

According to tradition, on this day it is customary to celebrate merits and award the best medical workers with certificates of honor and gratitude. The most distinguished employees at the state level are awarded the honorary title of "Honored Health Worker" - the highest award for people who have dedicated themselves to medicine and made a great contribution to its development.
