In a recent interview, British actor Charlie Hannem admitted that working on the set of the adventure project "Lost City Z", he literally stopped all relationships with his lover.
Ascesis for the sake of the role
This is certainly not the anguish on which Leo DiCaprio had to go, but nonetheless. While working on a new film in the jungles of Colombia, Mr. Hannam voluntarily broke off the connection with the outside world.
At first he still wrote letters to Morgan McNeeles, but for some reason they did not reach the addressee. And then the actor decided: to ignore his woman until the end of work on the film. According to him, he went to this controversial step for a complete immersion in the image. He was confident that the lack of connection with the civilized world would help him to feel better the hardships that his hero, the researcher of the Amazon, overcame in the distant 1925.

"When my seclusion was over, I did a lot of work to make amends. I did not just apologize to Morgana, but I also bought gifts for her, because I know her taste well and understand how you can surprise her. After all, we have been together for 11 years.
