Boa with own hands

One of the elements of clothing that has become popular again is the boa . This is a small fur scarf or a skin with an animal's head. In order to decorate your coat or even a dress, a fur boa can be made by yourself.

There are several options, how you can sew a fur boa.

Fur boa without pattern

It will take:

  1. Cut off from the whole piece of fur two strips measuring 13 cm by 130 cm.
  2. Fold them with the wrong sides to each other so that the pile looked in one direction. We pin it with pins.
  3. Starting to sew from the inside, we sew the two parts together to each other with a suture seam along the long edges, leaving the short sides not stitched.
  4. We precisely cut these sides and we also sew them with a seam wrap.
  5. Having deviated from the edge of 30 cm, we cut a slit with a scissors length of 7 cm.
  6. After verifying that the second end of the boa enters the incision made, we trim the edges of the suture seams.
  7. To make the edges neat, using a needle on all sides of the boa, we take out the pile from the stitches.
  8. Our fur boa is ready!

This boa is universal - it can be worn in many ways:

How to make a festive white boa?

It will take:

Progress:

  1. We cut out of a fur a rectangle measuring 55 cm x 14 cm and 2 circles with a diameter of 9 cm.
  2. Divide the satin cord into 2 pieces of 50 cm and tie a knot at each end.
  3. To make buboes, pin a pin from the side of the fur cord, and from the wrong side, after stepping off the edge of the circle 5 mm, sew a double thread with a suture (a needle forward). Be sure to sew the cord so that it does not slip out.
  4. Having reached the place where they started sewing, we tighten the thread to assemble the circle into a ball.
  5. Place the knot of the cord in the hole and fix the assembled ball with a few more stitches, and make sure that the fur does not fall under the thread. Do the same with the other cord to get the second bubo.
  6. To the short side of the rectangle at a distance of 4 cm from the corner, sew on the front side of the satin cord, leaving the knot a little to protrude.
  7. On the front side (fur) we lay cords with buboes as shown in the picture.
  8. Fold it in half and pin edges with pins, leaving a gap in the middle about 10 cm. At the corners with the help of pins, we make the bevel.
  9. Stepping back 1 cm from the edge, sew over the entire length of the scarf, except for the left slit. The corners are made round.
  10. Through the lagged gap, we turn the entire boa to the front side and sew a neat slit.
  11. We check that the fur fleece is not worn with thread and our boa is ready.
