Baby puree

For those who prefer to regale their baby only with their home-cooked complementary foods, we will tell you how to make baby mashed potatoes at home.

Children's fruit puree

Most often, apples and pears are used for the preparation of baby puree because of their low allergenic properties. Such fruit lure can be given to children, starting from 4-6 months. But do not forget that like any other product, new fruits should be introduced into the baby's diet gradually, in small portions, starting with half a teaspoon.

To prepare mashed potatoes from apples or pears we thoroughly wash the fruit, get rid of the skin, stalk and seed box, cut into small slices and put it in enameled dishes. Pour a little cleaned water and freshen the fruit on low intensity fire for fifteen minutes. After that, we punch the mass with a blender until it is mashed or kneaded thoroughly with a fork or tosser.

As an option, you can prepare the fruit for a couple, and then grind them to the state of mashed potatoes, so it will be even more useful.

Children's vegetable puree

Vegetable puree, although inferior to fruit to taste, but much easier to assimilate the child's body and less likely to cause undesirable consequences for it. That's why you need to start lure with it. Ideal vegetables for this purpose are zucchini and cauliflower or broccoli. Later you can try to enter pumpkin, potatoes and green peas.

Vegetable puree is prepared in the same way as fruit. You can freshen, if necessary, the peeled and shredded vegetables in a small amount of water, or cook them in pairs, and then pierce with a blender or rub through a sieve to make a mash. If you use purchased raw vegetables as a raw material, they should be soaked in cold water for several hours. For a potato it is required twelve hours, and to the remaining vegetables it is enough two hours.

In vegetable puree you can add a little bit of butter, but only if it allows the age of the child and you are sure that your baby is well tolerated by this product.
