What excretions indicate a violation?
The future mother should be alerted when:
- the appearance of an unpleasant odor of secretions;
- brown discharge at 40 weeks of gestation;
- abundant, transparent discharge;
- the appearance of itching.
It is also worth noting that color is of no small importance. For example, yellow secretions that appeared on the 40th week of pregnancy indicate the presence of infection in the reproductive system. Such a phenomenon is not uncommon for long periods after the passage of the mucous plug, which is noted 10 to 14 days before the expected date of delivery.
White discharge, observed at 40 weeks gestation, indicates a change in the microflora of the vagina and the possible development of bacterial vaginosis.
Bloody discharge, which appeared directly on the 40th week of pregnancy, suggests a premature detachment of the placenta. At such a time, in such a situation, a woman stimulates the birth process.
When the discharge at the end of pregnancy is normal?
As already mentioned above, not all vaginal discharge can be regarded as pathological.
So, for example, transparent mucous discharge at 40 weeks of gestation is nothing but a cork, which, during pregnancy, closing the cervical canal, prevented the penetration of pathogenic microorganisms into the reproductive system.
Separately, it is necessary to say about this phenomenon, when at 40 weeks of pregnancy, after examination by a gynecologist, women have brown discharge. The cause of their appearance is damage to small blood vessels, which almost always happens when examining the cervix. Their volume is small, and after a few hours the allocation completely disappears.
