Virtually all the secrets of the Yusupov Palace are associated with the turning points of history. And the mere fact that the powerful of this world was drawn to these walls is still an undeniable and inexplicable phenomenon.

History of the Yusupov Palace

Initially, the place of the palace was located "Pink House". It was the dacha of Anna Golitsyna, an ambitious girl and heiress of a pretty decent state. She had a rather strange passion for riding and preferred men's clothing. From that time only wine cellars and the park area were preserved.

In 1867 the house was bought by Adjutant-General Feliks Sumarokov. After marrying the last representative of the genus Yusupov Zinaida, he took her name and inherited the title. The Yusupov family occupied a rather solid position in society and had a great fortune. After Felix Jr. became the main organizer of the attempt on Rasputin, Yusupov and his wife were allowed to retire to their possession and already in 1919 they left Russia forever. But the palace did not stop its existence and attracted people with unusual destinies.

The palace was rebuilt several times. The architect Krasnov, who worked on the Livadia Palace, put his creative hand last to the modern appearance. During the nationalization of the 1920s, the Yusupov Palace in the Crimea became a state dacha or a holiday home. It is worth noting that the walls and interior of the palace completely survived after the Great Patriotic War.

In 1945, the Yalta Conference was held there. Even today, at the former place, there is a desk in the chief's office. Later, the palace again received the status of a summer residence, this time the Central Committee. There were so many important state and party figures that the walls of the house could tell more than one story about the course of events of that time.

Today, the Yusupov Palace in the Crimea is an architectural monument and is located in the office of the Ukrainian Security Service. Also there is a hotel complex, so getting inside is not so simple.
