Why do buds disappear from a tomato?

Tomatoes in our gardens are one of the most common cultures. We all love to eat their ripe, juicy red fruits. But often our pets are ill and poorly bear fruit. Another common problem is the vapors, when the tied flowers do not turn into fruits, but wither. Let's find out why tomatoes fall off buds, and bushes do not bring a crop.

Why fall off buds in tomatoes?

The first reason for this is the inadequate nutrition of the plant. If the soil is too poor and there are few nutrients (nitrogen, potassium , phosphorus) necessary for normal development, it is clear that the plant is throwing all its forces into survival, and not to build up the fruits. It is like growing indoor flowers that blossom only when the conditions of their maintenance are met, and the plant is comfortable and well. To struggle with this cause of a vial is simple enough - it is necessary to fertilize soil regularly and to spend foliar top dressing.

It is also desirable to cut off all the flowers without the ovary, so that they do not take away the forces from the plant, and also cut off the brushes, where there is not a single tied fruit. Thanks to this, the bush will develop other brushes, increasing the quality of flowers on them.

However, there is a situation where the bushes outwardly look beautiful and strong, but still give a void. In this case, the reason for why the tomato falls buds, is too low a night temperature. After all, the pollen ripens at night, and in the morning it pollinates the pestle of the ovary. If pollination does not occur, then the weather conditions are to blame. If you are new to growing tomatoes, be aware that the optimum temperature for their growth is + 20-25 ° C. If at night the thermometer shows + 15 ° С, then the flowers will most likely fall off, without opening. And at + 10 ° C, the growth of the bush itself also stops. In hothouse conditions, raising the air temperature is not difficult, and if your tomatoes grow in the open, it's difficult to do anything about it.

One of the folk tricks is the evening watering of tomatoes with warm water, but this is quite dangerous, especially if there are sudden jumps in your region between day and night temperatures.
