Waterfall in the aquarium with their own hands

When we plan to do our aquarium design, we, naturally, try to find the most amazing and interesting elements of the decor, which will help to revive our underwater kingdom. One such is the underwater waterfall in the aquarium. This amazing miracle of aquarium is actually a flow of fine white or transparent sand circulating in the system. He gets from the bowl into the tube, with the help of a compressor with air bubbles, is sent out, creating the desired effect of the waterfall, and then again falls into the bowl.

Waterfall in the aquarium with their own hands can be done quickly and easily following simple instructions. This does not require special skills, in addition, such a device is quite cheap. In our master class we will show you how to make a waterfall in an aquarium. For this we need:

Do a waterfall in the aquarium with your own hands

  1. We take a plastic water pipe and cut it into three parts along. We bend them and get support for the future waterfall.
  2. We glue germicom pipe with a hose.
  3. Leaving from the bottom edge of the hose 3 cm, make an incision of an oval shape measuring 2х1 cm.
  4. From a bottle of 1.5 liters and cut off the top and neck with a thread.
  5. We make an incision along the resulting cup, and put it on the hose, bending off the previously made cut (2x1 cm).
  6. Adjust the diameter of the bowl and glue the bent ends with a thin tape.
  7. We thoroughly glue the joint sealant of the bowl with the hose and leave it to dry.
  8. At the top of the hose with the edge diagonally we make an oval cut, measuring 2.5x1 cm.
  9. From the dropper we take a plastic tip and with the help of glue, attach it to the lower end of the hose and leave it to dry.
  10. We put on the tip of the tube from the dropper, the other end of the tube connect with the compressor.
  11. We check the work of our waterfall made by own hands in the aquarium. If everything works, we proceed to make the cover of the visor. He will regulate the release of sand.
  12. Take a 0.5 liter plastic bottle and cut off the top, cutting off the neck with thread. The cup will be 3 cm high.
  13. We cut the side of the bowl and attach it to the top of the hose, so as not to block the opening for air bubbles.
  14. We fix the visor with a narrow tape and glue the sealant to the hose. We leave our almost ready waterfall in the aquarium to dry up.
  15. When everything is ready you can start decorating the waterfall with stones at your own discretion. The section of the future rock where it will be directly crumbled sand is better to cover with smaller stones for a kind of groove. That's what we got.
