Warmer for newborns

The main concern of parents is ensuring the proper care and proper development of their children. Tablets, compresses, decoctions and infusions of herbs, baths, inhalations, sprays, drops and syrups - a variety of therapeutic and prophylactic means and methods are used. In this case, parents often forget about such a simple, but from this no less effective way, as treatment with dry heat.

It has long been known that dry heat not only has a healing effect in itself, but also significantly increases the effectiveness of many medicines. For example, warming up helps with muscle pain (in particular in the cervical collar zone and lower back), improves blood circulation and metabolism, helps with colds, otitis and many other diseases.

Warmers for children can be of various types: gel, electric, salt, water. Often you can find special children's pillows-warmers or warmers, made in the form of children's toys.

Warmers for children

Such heaters are a hermetically sealed container filled with non-toxic saline solution, permitted for use in medicine and food industry. Each of these heaters contains a start button or switch, by clicking on which, you trigger a chemical reaction (when you turn it on you should hear a click), and the warmer immediately starts to heat up. At the same time, it hardens, and the salt solution becomes white. As a rule, the temperature of heating the salt heaters - 50 ° C, they do not cause burns and irritations (as there is no direct contact of the skin with salt). Depending on the size, the salt pad keeps the temperature from 10 minutes to an hour. After the hot-water bottle has cooled down, it needs to be put in hot water for a while (so that the salt dissolves again), after which it can be reused. Salt warmers of an average price category withstand more than 2000 thermal hours, that is, they have a rather long service life. Salt warmers can also be used as a cold compress. To do this, they must first be put in the refrigerator or freezer for 30-40 minutes.

Children's electric warmers

Electric hot water bottles have held leadership for many years among all types of heaters. One of their main advantages is the ability to regulate the degree of heating with a thermostat. Thus, the user has the opportunity to choose for himself the most comfortable mode of warm-up.

The drawbacks of such heaters include their attachment to the source of electricity - within reach should be an outlet (recently there are models that can work from the cigarette lighter in the car).

Before using electric (or any other) heating pad for newborns, it is better to consult a pediatrician, since there are a number of cases when its use is highly undesirable, and even contraindicated.

For example, heaters are not used in the following cases:

Buying a heating pad (salt, electric or other types) for children, pay attention to the quality of the materials from which it is made. Remember that when heated, the hot water bottle should not start to smell unpleasantly or release toxic substances. When buying, always carefully study the accompanying documentation - certificates of conformity, product passport, etc. Do not buy hot water bottles in spontaneous markets or in places where you can not show trade permits and documents for the goods.
