How to cook sushi with prawns?

Shrimps contain chitosan, powerful antioxidants and unique polyunsaturated fatty omega-3-acids. You can, of course, use ready-cooked or boiled and pickled prawns, they can be found on sale sometimes with tails, sometimes without, sometimes completely finished and peeled. If shrimps are frozen, they must be thawed before boiling.

How to cook shrimp for sushi?

Large shrimps, raw or cooked, fresh or frozen, without heads, are placed on thin bamboo skewers. We place them on skewers in boiling slightly salted water and cook for 5-10 minutes (depending on the size). If you bought pink shrimps, then they are already half cooked. In this case, we prepare them within 3 minutes. We extract, cool, carefully remove from the skewers and remove the paws.

We cut the shrimp along the abdomen with a sharp knife and, holding the fingers of one hand by the tail, carefully remove the shell. Slice the peeled shrimp shallow along and remove the intestine. Sometimes the tail is removed along with the shell, in other cases is left.

You can fry the shrimp in vegetable oil in a frying pan with garlic cloves (both peeled and with shell),> in any case, cook for no more than 2-3 minutes and put it on a napkin to stack excess fat. Then remove the unnecessary, we throw out the garlic.

You can plant shrimp on skewers and deep-fry.

How to make sushi with prawns?

From the finished cooked rice (it should be slightly glued) we form the substrate for shrimp and soak it with a mixture of soy sauce and rice vinegar. We place the shrimp from above. We put the sushi on a dish and serve it with warmed sake, Japanese whiskey or beer.
