Most infectious inflammatory diseases of different locations are often caused by staphylococci. In the treatment of such diseases, mainly antibiotic drugs are used. Their disadvantage is that these agents have a harmful effect on all microorganisms. An alternative to antibiotics is a staphylococcal bacteriophage with a selective effect against only certain types of microbes.

- surgical inflammatory processes (infected burns, furuncle, hydradenitis, purulent wounds, phlegmon, panaritium, abscess, paraproctitis, bursitis, carbuncle, abscessed and infiltrated staphylococcal sycosis, tendovaginitis, mastitis, osteomyelitis );
- enteral pathologies (cholecystitis, gastroenterocolitis, intestinal dysbacteriosis).
Staphylococcal bacteriophage also helps against acne on the chest, back and face, if the rashes are caused by an appropriate infection.
Also, the drug is used as a prevention of purulent inflammatory processes in infected fresh wounds due to operations in the thoracic and abdominal cavity, industrial or street injuries, nosocomial infections.
The use of a staphylococcal bacteriophage in the form of a solution
An important condition is the direct administration of a medicament to the area of the inflammatory focus.
The form of the bacteriophage in question is used as follows:
- lotion;
- applications;
- compresses;
- cotton swabs impregnated with solution;
- enemas;
- washing;
- injections.
Also, the drug can be administered by infusion directly into the wound or cavity, using a catheter and capillary drainage.
With various forms of sinusitis, it is recommended to instill a staphylococcal bacteriophage into the nose in its pure form.
Staphylococcal bacteriophage in tablets
Such a dosage form is based on the same active ingredient as the solution. This also applies to the bacteriophage in the form of rectal suppositories and ointments.
Indications for use are identical, but tablets are more often used for prevention than therapy. This form is more convenient to take, but the bioavailability of the solution is much higher, so it is more effective.
Before taking a staphylococcal bacteriophage, you need to check with your doctor the dosage. The standard scheme involves taking 2 tablets of the drug 3 times a day for 30 minutes before meals. But, depending on the intensity of the symptoms of the disease and the results of therapy, this amount can vary.
