Spotlights

The popularity of point lights is growing every year. The modern market of lighting products offers a variety of spotlights, among which everyone can choose the suitable option for themselves.

Spotlights can be used as main and auxiliary lighting in any premises. The main advantages of spotlights are:

In modern stores you can buy overhead and hanging point lights of any shape and size. Also, depending on the interior design of the premises, you can choose a rotary or non-rotating point light.

Lamps for spotlights

Point light fixtures are divided into three groups, depending on the lamps used for them:

  1. Spotlights with an incandescent lamp. The main advantage of incandescent lamps is their low cost and ease of use. The incandescent lamp in a hanging or overhead spotlight is easy to change - just unscrew the old one and twist the new one. The disadvantage of a spotlight with an incandescent lamp is a large size. That part of the lamp that hides behind the ceiling has a size of up to 12 cm. This means that the ceiling itself will be lowered by this distance. And that's why the use of spotlights intended for use with an incandescent lamp is not recommended in rooms with low ceilings.
  2. Spotlights with halogen lamp. Dimensions of halogen spotlights are quite small. Halogen spotlights, unlike fixtures with incandescent lamps, shine more brightly. But one of the few flaws in the lamp is the difficulty of replacing the lamp. But there is an important advantage - such point lights are energy-saving. Halogen energy-saving lamps for spotlights last much longer than incandescent lamps.
  3. LED spotlights. LED spotlights are used both indoors and outdoors. LED lighting, also, are energy-saving - with a small consumption of electricity have a high performance. LEDs are environmentally friendly lighting devices that do not have any harmful influence on the human body. Simplicity of use and installation of point LED lamps makes them especially attractive for those who are going to do repairs themselves.

Before choosing spot lights for an apartment, you should pay attention to how much they will fit into the overall interior of the room. Spotlights, as a rule, are covered with brass, bronze or chrome. The coating can be matte or glossy. It should be noted that multi-colored spotlights with an unusual coating are of high cost.

Experts recommend installing spotlights in small rooms as the main light. For large living rooms or an office, a large number of spotlights are needed, which rarely fits into the interior design. In such rooms, it is recommended to use spotlights as an additional light.
