Man is a social being, therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the properties of a person in the system of social relations, since important features of the human character will manifest here. And if so, then it is worthwhile to understand what social and psychological relations are and what they are.

Signs of social relations

Social (social) relations are the various forms of interdependence that arise when people interact with each other. A feature of social relations that distinguishes them from interpersonal and other types of relationships is that people appear in them only as a social "I", which is not a complete reflection of the essence of a particular person.

Thus, the main feature of social relations is the establishment of stable relationships between people (groups of people) that allow members of society to realize their social roles and statuses. Examples of social relations can be interactions with family members and colleagues at work, communication with friends and teachers.

Types of social relations in society

There are various classifications of social relations, and therefore their species are many. Let's look at the basic ways of classifying relations of this kind and give a characterization of them to some species.

Social relations are classified according to the following criteria:

• by the volume of power (relations horizontally or vertically);
• on possession and disposal of property (class, class);
• on the spheres of manifestation (economic, religious, moral, political, aesthetic, legal, mass, interpersonal, intergroup);
• by regulation (formal and informal);
• on the internal socio-psychological structure (cognitive, communicative, conative).

Some of the types of social relations include subspecies groups. For example, formal and informal relations can be:

• long-term (friends or colleagues);
• short-term (casual acquaintances);
• functional (contractor and customer);
• permanent (family);
• educational;
• subordination (bosses and subordinates);
• cause-and-effect (victim and criminal).

The application of a specific classification depends on the aims and objectives of the study, and in order to characterize a phenomenon, one or several classifications can be used. For example, to characterize social relations in a team, it is logical to use a classification based on regulation and on the internal socio-psychological structure.

Personality in the system of social relations

As already mentioned above, a specific type of social relations considers only one of the aspects of the person's personality, therefore, when it is required to obtain a more complete characterization, it is necessary to take into account the system of social relations. Since this system is at the basis of all the personality traits of a person, it determines its goals, motivation, the direction of its personality. And this gives us an idea of ​​the relationship of a person to the people with whom he communicates, to the organization in which he works, to the political and civil system of his country, to forms of ownership, etc. All this gives us a "sociological portrait" of personality, but we should not regard these attitudes as any labels that society glues on a person. These features are manifested in the actions, actions of man, in his intellectual, emotional and volitional properties. Psychology is inextricably linked with psychology, therefore, the analysis of the psychological properties of the individual must be carried out taking into account the position of man in the system of social relations. gt;
