Symptoms and signs of retinal detachment
One of the main signs of detachment is considered a photopsy, as a result of which a person seems to have the appearance of lightning and flares in the field of vision. This is due to the fact that the retina generates impulses not only when light hits it, but also under physical influence.
In addition, floating "threads", "points" and other small images may appear before your eyes. This phenomenon is not considered individual and does not relate specifically to this disease. It is common and does not need urgent treatment. In general, this symptom indicates the destruction of the lens.
Less often people can observe the so-called Weiss rings - blurred circles. This indicates the detachment of the posterior membrane at the attachment site. This condition also does not need immediate hospitalization. However, the same symptoms may be the first signs of retinal detachment caused by hemorrhage into the vitreous element.

- ultrasound scanning, which allows to find out the internal structure of the eye;
- examination of the fundus .
