The photographer from Italy Rachel Totaro (Rachele Totaro) specializes in shooting our younger brothers. And last summer before the lens of her camera were rats and mice. Think - what in this surprising and unusual? Well, then get ready!
It turns out that the heroes of her photo session - all her life saw nothing but a cage. Yes, they are ordinary laboratory rodents, who every year are born and die in captivity by hundreds of thousands only in order to be able to conduct experiments on them, to test medicines, and, accordingly, to save our lives with you.
It is known that most of the "experiments" on mice and rats result in a lethal outcome, but there are exceptions when rodents remain that are not useful or kept in reserve. Often, charity organizations are allowed to find a new home and caring hands for such pets.
In a word, the heroes of Rachelle's photos are the very ones who were saved, who were born in a cage, but soon they will find a real loving family. And now just look how they saw their first day at large!
