Preparing the sewing machine for openwork embroidery

To create delicate elements on the fabric, it is more convenient to use foot sewing machines. However, the device must be prepared before work:

  1. First, with the sewing machine, you need to remove the presser foot, as well as the rail that is used to move the fabric.
  2. Then it is necessary to put on a needle plate a special embroidery plate, in which there is a hole only for the needle. The diameter of the hole should not exceed 1.5 mm. If not, remove the rack.
  3. After that it is necessary to set the stitch regulator to the desired position. Keep in mind that when embroidering the lever must be lowered to the lower position.

For high-quality execution of openwork patterns for machine embroidery, wooden hoops with a height of up to 8 mm are needed, then a piece of cloth is inserted where the work will be carried out. In the Richelieu technique, the pencil chosen by you is translated using a pencil, it's better to start with a simple one. Lowering the presser foot lever, it is necessary to execute a line along the contour of the picture.

Then carefully cut openings, in the place of which later the brides are created.

To do this, it is necessary to form a gasket, that is, stretch to the opposite side of the hole or lay one or more threads along the contour of the pattern, and then treat it with a smoothing seam.

The smooth surface is obtained if the contour of the pattern is treated with a fine line. The drawing is filled with stitches, which should be performed side by side and tightly, as well as in one direction.

The recessed smooth surface involves the processing of the stitching of the fabric along the contour of the cut holes.

Openwork meshes significantly enrich any pattern on the fabric. Before work on the fabric, several times the contour of the future mesh is poured, and then the hole is cut at the inner edge.

In the resulting hole, any grid pattern can be created by stretching the air threads and treating them with a satin stitch.

Merezhka means pulling out of the fabric part of the warp threads or weft.

The remaining sparse threads of material are joined by a string into groups (a column, a brush, a loop, etc.), thus forming an openwork pattern. On the needle should be typed a certain number of threads, join them in a bundle with a few stitches, make about 5-6 stitches to form a broach between the posts.
