Needle in the form of a dummy, made by own hands, - an accessory not only original, but also very practical. Pins and needles will always be at hand during needlework. Having become acquainted with our master class, you will learn how to sew a needle bed-mannequin in just half an hour! Such a functional artifact will always be appropriate as a gift to any needlewoman.
We will need: - cardboard;
- felt;
- sintepon;
- glue;
- fabric (cotton is preferable).
- From thick cardboard, cut out six parts (front and back, two side and two ovals). To do this, circle the cardboard with the marker on the fabric. Ovals cut out of felt. Then cut them out.
- After the pattern of the needle bed is ready, proceed to stitching the parts. Then turn out the resulting part on the front side and fill it with sintepon (you can replace it with cotton). Try to stuff the needle bed more tightly, so that pins and needles stay in it well.
- Insert a felt oval into the lower part of the dummy, previously glued with glue. Then tuck the edges of the fabric and properly glue them to the felt with a glue gun. When the glue dries, hide all the wrinkles under the oval of felt. Now put the resulting dummy on the candlestick.
- The top of the dummy needle bed is decorated with a bead of a glass bead or a large bead. Make sure that the edges of the fabric are hidden under the decorative element. If there is a desire, you can sew a mannequin and a head, decorating it with hair made of dense woolen threads. The handicraft is ready for use!
Now all your needles and pins, which are used for sewing, will always be in one place, and the needle-dummy itself will become a worthy decoration of the workplace.
