Many of the sights of Oman have a rich history, and the fortress of Nahal was no exception. Its name was given to the fortress in honor of the town next to which it is located, and is treated as a "date palm". The first mention of this structure dates back to the 17th century, and at one time it was the refuge of the ruler of the Ya-Arub dynasty, and after a period of time he was chosen by Said ibn Sultan. There is an opinion that it was he who transformed and expanded the fort to the state that can be observed at the present time. How to get to Fort Nahal?

The fortress is located at a distance of 120 km from Muscat . You can get here on a rented car or a tourist bus. The journey will take about 1.5 hours.
