Museum of Glass

In a small Israeli town in the south of the country Arad is a real pearl of modern art - the Glass Museum. It was created by the sculptor Gideon Fridman, who is also the author of the main exposition. There are also exhibited and other masters, whose works are of interest to the public.

Description

Famous Israeli artist and sculptor Gideon Fridman was fascinated by the processing of glass in the 90s of the last century. Then he created his first masterpieces. With the support of his family, the master opened the Glass Museum in 2003. Initially, there were only his works, but eventually the works of other authors began to appear in the collection. As a result, today visitors can see the works of more than twenty artisans.

An interesting fact is that Friedman uses methods of fusing and slashing to create exhibits. And the ovens with which he works did on his own. In addition, the material is recycled glass: bottle and window.
