Munich plaster

Among the variety of types of plasters, some of them even have their own "name", for example, plaster Munich - it was in Munich that this method of applying decorative plaster was invented.

Munich decorative plaster

In terms of composition, the Munich thin-layer plaster is an acrylic dispersion, and the production technology involves the introduction of marble chips of various fractions (2.5 or 3.5 on the package, which corresponds to the crumb size in mm). In addition, the composition of this plaster mixture necessarily includes hydrophobic compounds that help to retain moisture on the plastered surface. In other words, Munich plaster is a decorative finish with high resistance to moisture, temperature extremes and mechanical abrasion, can be used for both exterior and interior decoration works.

Munich plaster, for a greater decorative effect, can be easily painted. And the structure of this plaster, outwardly reminiscent of the well-known "Bark beetle" , allows you to experiment with the method of staining. The easiest way - the chosen pigment is added directly to the plaster mixture. The next method - painting (whitewashing) on the already plastered surface. And one more way - a combination of two colors. The surface, covered with Munich plaster of the same color, is painted with a roller in another color. In this case, all the texture deepening remains in the original color against the background of whitewashing applied from above. A rather original effect is achieved.

Technology of application of Munich plaster

The surface of the wall is first treated with a special primer (adhesive), and then the spatula itself is applied with a thin layer corresponding to the size of the crumb fraction. Then the grouting of the treated area is carried out: vertical, horizontal or circular - the location of the texture elements of the plaster depends on this.
