Melania Trump received a letter with the request to add vegan sweets to the menu of the Easter Brunch

Journalists learned that Melania Trump received a rather unusual request from Tracey Riemann, vice-president of PETA, an organization dealing with animal rights. Ms. Riemann sent a letter to the first lady of the US, in which she voiced a rather unexpected wish - to include candies without milk, in the traditional menu of the Easter picnic, in other words, vegan sweets.

This proposal is caused by the care of children with lactose intolerance. According to the executive vice president of PETA, if such children have the opportunity to eat sweet together with all the other kids, they will feel happier at the long-awaited Easter celebration.

Of course, Ms. Riemann could not ignore the other important problem - the exploitation of animals in the dairy industry. Here's what she wrote in her letter:

"I address you as a mother. Could you do something important for the little guests of the Easter event? You said that no kid should feel his "isolation". However, some of your young guests can not drink milk because their organisms do not metabolize lactose. Others do not drink milk simply because they regret cows, they know that these animals are mothers for calves, but they take their kids on farms. I appeal to you with a request to offer my guests sweets without milk, if possible. "

Reasonable alternative

At the end of her message, Riemann offered to give vegan sweets to the wife of the US president, so that she could treat them to kids at the traditional Easter event on the lawn in front of the White House.
