Left-side adnexitis

Left-sided adnexitis is one of the most common diseases of the female reproductive system. It is an inflammatory process in the appendages of the uterus, which proceeds in acute or chronic form. The chronic course of the disease begins if the acute form has not been cured to the end.

Adnexitis of the left ovary is also an inflammation of the fallopian tube afterwards, because both these organs belong to the appendages of the uterus. As a rule, the disease occurs after an abortion, since possible inflammatory complications in the uterus pass to the appendages.

Subacute left-sided adnexitis can also occur as a result of sexually transmitted diseases. This happens because antibodies in the body can not detect the pathogen of the infection that is inside the cells. For the same reason, pathogens are difficult to achieve and for some antibiotics.

What causes adnexitis on the left?

Left-sided adnexitis usually has symptoms, depending on the cause of the disease. These are pains in the left lower abdomen, painful menstruation, impaired urination, irritability, chills, pain during intercourse, aggravated general condition.

Chronic left-sided adnexitis is a consequence of its acute form. The difference is that the chronic form has periods of remission, when it seems that the illness is healed. With repeated exacerbation, the body temperature rises and pain increases.

Acute left-side adnexitis, like chronic, leads to loss of function of the left ovary, the fallopian tube loses its patency, because it grows connective tissue, forming spikes .

To prevent this disease and maintain the reproductive system in a healthy state, it is necessary to undergo regular medical examinations and visit a gynecologist.
