Exhausted leather jackets, shoes, accessories can turn into original wall panels, if you put a little effort and give vent to fantasy. We offer an interesting and simple master class about how to make your own hands from the skin and create pictures that will decorate the interior and become an excellent gift.
We will need:
- pieces of leather in various sizes;
- cardboard for pattern;
- scissors;
- glue;
- cotton buds;
- acrylic paints.
- From the cardboard make a pattern of the future petal and transfer it to the skin. When cutting, do not forget to add 3-5 mm for bending the edges. Such patterns will need six. Also, cut out a square of leather the size of a match box and 5 stamen strips. Square squeeze into the tube, and glue the edges properly so that it does not spin. To the resulting pestle, glue the stamens that are twisted into thin tubes
- Each petal along the edge is greased on the back side with glue using a cotton swab, with your fingers tighten the edges. Spread the middle of the petal with glue.
- Bend each petal in half. At the base, apply glue and attach to the pestle.
- With the rest of the petals, repeat the procedure.
- Now you can start painting the resulting leather flower. Paint from a can of this makes it more convenient, and the craftsmanship will look neater. Then paint the flower with acrylic paints, but do not use water! The flower is ready. It remains only to make the leaves on the same principle. To make them more voluminous, use glue to make streaks on the leaves.
- The resulting flower can be attached to the stem so that it can be placed in a vase. But we do a panel, so we do not need such a long leg-base. Cut it to make the flower fit more tightly to the panel.
- As a basis for the panel you can use very dense cardboard or plywood. Beautifully look pictures, the background of which is the skin. It can be glued or fixed on a base with a stapler, small studs. Then do the panel as you want. We offer the following options for placing flowers and leaves:
Leather - the material is malleable, so the petals and leaves of flowers can be of any shape. Additional decoration of the panel can be skin-covered twigs of fancy shapes, butterflies and beetles made of leather. But try not to overload the picture with a lot of decorative elements, so that it does not look clumsy.
An unusual panel can be made from other materials, for example, newspaper tubes .
