Korean Village

Events in the Korean Village

In the folkloric national village of Minoxocchon there are many different festivals in the Korean style:

  1. The festival of Hangavi invites all present to take part in traditional rites and games.
  2. The triumph of Sonjugosa , in which rice from the newly harvested crop is placed in a special container.
  3. The festival of lovers takes place annually in August. For two days, peasant music sounds, traditional wedding ceremonies and horse fights are held - a popular entertainment for Koreans in ancient times, and as a bride and groom there can be a couple of visitors.
  4. The harvest festival Chusok , which is held in the beginning of autumn, was very revered in ancient Korea, it is popular in our time.
