Perhaps the only way to store corn on the cob for the winter is to use the freezer in your refrigerator. This approach will save not only most vitamins, but also the inherent taste. To do this, the corn is thoroughly cleaned from leaves and hairs, washed and dried. Probably the best way to store corn on the cob in the fridge is to put it in three or four pieces in a plastic bag. Good for this purpose are suitable and packages with ZIP-fastener. It remains only to get the corn from the freezer and cook, as usual, without defrosting.

The second option is also based on the freezing of corn. But the cob should be subjected to additional heat treatment. This option can be considered more time-consuming, but it allows you to eat crock in a very short time.

Again, the peeled corn is washed under running water. After that, I blanch the cob, that is, as if tempered. To do this, you will need to collect water in a suitable pan and boil it. And then prepare another pan with very cold water. The cobs are first carefully placed in boiling water for ten to fifteen seconds, after which they are removed and placed immediately in cold water. Then the cooled corn is removed from the pan, wiped and dried. The cobs are packed in bags or food film, and then sent to the refrigerator freezer. It is this method, the freezing of corn in the cob for the winter, when the corn is first subjected to a momentary action of high, and then sharply low temperature, allows you to maintain the most approximate taste.
