Types of mansard roofs of private houses
Mansard roof of a wooden or brick house is a living room, filling the attic space. Its facade is partially or completely formed by a roof. It has its advantages and disadvantages. Among the shortcomings, many call the need for additional insulation, in case the area is designed for use in the cold season. Also acute is the issue of soundproofing the floor.
The main load in a house with an attic roof lies on the rafter system, which forms the appearance of the building. The additional floor requires good ventilation. Therefore, a vapor-insulating layer of the material must be placed on top of the crate.
The distance from the floor to the ceiling must be at least 150 cm, otherwise the room will not be comfortable. With the same responsibility it is necessary to treat the choice of the angle of the roof slope - the more the angle of inclination, the more functional the room is. Under the attic, one-pitched, two-pitched and four-slope roofs can be adapted. If you select the last option for an unused zone, it will be much larger. To get away from this problem, many raise the walls of the house, in this case the type of roof does not really matter.
