Between Yalta and Alushta is the famous village of Gurzuf. A successful location contributed to the fact that these places are rightfully considered to be one of the most picturesque. Museum of Chekhov in Gurzuf. The museum is a small one-story house located on a protruding cape. In 1898, Chekhov purchased this house on the advice of doctors and spent a lot of time there. Many of the notable figures of literature and art visited the "Belaya Dacha" at one time. It was at his dacha Chekhov wrote "Three Sisters", "The Cherry Orchard" and several other stories. Since 1921, the house was given the status of a museum. Sister Chekhov was appointed by his lifelong curator and until the end of his days diligently kept the legacy, even during the fascist occupation. Pushkin Museum in Gurzuf. This place is also called the "House of Richelieu". There the famous writer lived for three weeks. After the annexation of the Crimea to Russia, all the lands in the Gurzuf District were granted to the Duke of Richelieu, who built a two-story building. Twin cliffs in Gurzuf
One of the most famous sights of Gurzuf are the cliffs of Adalara. They are located just 300 meters from the shore and outwardly very similar to the castles in the Gothic style. These are small islands with diameters of 20-30 meters. Some time ago, between the rocks there were jumpers from islets with land. The waves completely destroyed them and today only the remains under the water are visible.
Fans of scuba diving are frequent guests in these places. At the bottom of the scattered a large number of clay skulls, because in this place not one ship drowned. To reach the rocks you can swim on a mattress or on a catamaran. But people who are not too good at swimming should be very careful, as the current often carries far from the shore.
