Gas boiler

The life of modern man is hard to imagine without the presence of hot water in his house. Ensure its availability in the home can be a variety of ways, one of which is the installation of a boiler - gas or electric. Features of gas water heaters will be devoted to our today's review.

Gas boiler or gas stove?

So, there is a gasified dwelling, without the possibility of connecting the centralized hot water supply. How quicker and cheaper to provide it with hot water? There are two options: a gas column or a gas boiler. As is known, the work of these devices is based on heating the water due to the energy of the gas. But the principle of their work is somewhat different.

A flow-through water heater, more popular among the people, like a gas column, heats the water in motion. The gas storage boiler heats the water that was previously poured into the heating tank. Naturally, each of these types of heating appliances has its pros and cons. Thus, flow heaters are cheaper, smaller in size and capable of providing relatively few objects with hot water. In addition, for their operation, the pressure of the supplied water and gas must be maintained at a certain level. Gas storage boilers are not so demanding for input pressure, but they occupy considerably more space and cost more. For these reasons, storage gas boilers as separate devices in the vastness of our country are not used, but are usually included in two-circuit heating gas boilers.

Therefore, if it is a question of supplying an apartment with centralized heating with hot water, then the choice is definitely left for the gas column. In a private house it is better to supply a two-circuit gas boiler.

Indirect Heated Gas Boiler

One of the types of storage gas boilers is indirect heating boilers, connected to any model of heating gas boilers. Such a boiler is represented by a thermally insulated tank into which the coil connected to the boiler is immersed. After the boiler is turned on, the water heated up to the high temperature starts moving along the coil, due to the heat of which the water in the boiler also heats. At the same time to ensure hot water does not require additional gas flow. With regard to installation, the gas boilers of indirect heating can be both wall-mounted and floor-standing, and they can be connected to a boiler of almost any manufacturer. But against the background of doubtless advantages, there is a significant disadvantage for such boilers - the water in them will be heated only when the heating is on. That is, in the summer, when the heating is off, the water in them, too, will not heat up.

Double-circuit gas boiler

Two-circuit gas boilers (boilers) are universal devices that allow to provide the house with hot water and heating. Heating of water for heating and direct consumption is carried out here independently, so the house will be provided with hot water at any time of the year, and not only in the heating season. But along with this, similar equipment has a fairly complex design and, accordingly, a high cost.

Connecting a gas boiler

Buying a gas boiler, it should be remembered that the works on its connection are subject to fairly high safety requirements and to perform them only by a gas specialist. Only a professional can choose the right place and necessary fittings for connecting a gas boiler and check its operability correctly.
