Footwear for hiking

Today, more and more people, realizing that life is a movement, are attached to walking tours. It is very important to choose the right shoes, because it's one thing - to walk on the asphalt, and quite another - hiking on the ground, mountains or snow. But before you go to the shoe store, you need to decide which trip you're on.

  1. A one-day walk in the warm season on a level terrain, a forest or along well-kept mountain trails. For this campaign, shoes should be chosen light, strong, ventilated, having good adhesion to the soil: sneakers or tourist sandals. In sandals, the top is made of a durable belt, and the hard sole is provided with a tread. Sneakers protect feet in a hike better than sandals. Such shoes are quite suitable for water trips, where other waterproof shoes are useless.
  2. The trek lasts more than three days in the warm season on rough terrain. It will be most convenient to lightweight boots with an upper leg above the ankle. The rigid and elastic sole will unload the leg during the ascent and descent.
  3. A multi-day hike at any time of the year, the terrain is complex, with steep hills and descents. Shoes for such hikes are made with leather uppers, this makes them stiff and well fixing the leg. A thick shock absorber is inserted into the sole. Sometimes, for greater rigidity, a plastic or leather footrest is inserted into the shoe sole.
  4. Mountain hiking, climbing and climbing at low temperatures. Shoes for hiking in the mountains should be very tough. In mountaineering shoes, the feet and the ankle must be completely fixed. Metal plates or even wooden pads are inserted into the sole. The top of the shoes is made of thick leather or plastic. As warmth-keeping materials for such shoes, various modern materials are used for winter hikes.

Choose shoes for a hiking trip very carefully, and then you will return home only with good impressions and memories.
