Previously, for the manufacture of fences used brick , wood and wild stone, but recently manufacturers have begun to offer interesting analogs to these finishing materials. The fruit of the latest developments was the corrugated board, or as it is called the specialists of the "metal profile". For its manufacture, sheet steel is used, which is subjected to profiling (giving the sheet a trapezoidal or undulating shape). The metal profile has several advantages, namely:
- polymer coating protects the sheet from physical and chemical damage;
- You can select any color;
- small weight, which simplifies the installation process;
- The ability to combine profiled sheeting with brick and wild stone .
Well, the main advantage of the fence from the corrugated board is the fact that it is easy to make by yourself. Here you do not need to master the art of figured masonry as in the case of a brick fence, or be able to process a wooden beam as in the case of wood fences. To do this, you just need a minimum set of tools. All the rest can be done by following a simple photo instructions.
We make a fence of corrugated board with our own hands
Before you put a fence of corrugated board yourself, you need to buy a complete set of materials. During the installation you will need:
- galvanized wall metal profile with polymer coating grade "C" (corrugation height 18-21 mm);
- pipes for poles and logs, painted with a primer;
- brackets (plate-holders);
- bolt / screws;
- roofing screws.
Pay special attention to the selection of pipes. Ideally, metal piles with a thickness of 2-4 mm are suitable. They will provide the necessary rigidity and withstand the weight of the corrugated board.
If you want to make brick poles, then you just need to make a brickwork around the pile. In this case, remember that the installation of piles begins with a side post, and not with those that will be in the center.
When the whole set is assembled, get to work. The fence installation will be performed in several stages:
- Markup . It will be the first stage in the installation of the fence. You will need to identify the boundaries of the fence. To do this, you can use the driven pegs with a stretched thread.
- The foundation . First, you need to drill deep holes 80-100 cm. After that, it needs to be covered with a roofing material and poured with concrete. Some for economy use a small stone mixed with a solution.
- Fastening of crosspieces . Between the piles, it is necessary to fasten the crosspieces, which are cross-sticks on which the corrugated board will hold in the future. The number of jumpers is adjustable depending on the height of the fence. At a height of up to 1.7 m, two jumpers will suffice, and at a height of 1.7-3 m it will be necessary to install three bars - from below, above and in the center.
- Mounting the corrugated board on the frame . Fastening of metal sheets is carried out with the help of special galvanized screws with rubberized gasket. Choose them is quite simple, because the sale is a variety of colors for the color of the metal profile. The distance between the fasteners can be two waves (corrugations). This will avoid bulges, and the construction will acquire the necessary strength.
- Final touches . In the end, the upper edge of the fence should be framed with an end plate. It will hide small irregularities and give the fence a finished look. The bar is better to choose even when buying corrugated board, in order to precisely match the shade.

If it is difficult for you to organize such deep holes, you can stop at a depth of 50 cm. But in this case you will have to drive the pipe into the ground, while controlling a strict vertical to the ground.
