Victorian style originated during the reign of Queen Victoria, from which, in fact, took its name. This era was rich and beautiful, which left its imprint on the clothes of the Victorian era. The top of indecency were the exposed parts of the body, but to emphasize the female figure on the contrary became fashionable. So, the female silhouette consisted of a magnificent skirt and an excessively narrow waist. In the latter case corsets were actively used. In this case, some corsets were so long that they had a V-shaped silhouette.

Elegant thin waist, sometimes reaching a volume of 40 cm, was considered the ideal of beauty. However, women had to pay dearly for this beauty. Clothing in the Victorian era, namely the dress, was so narrow that it squeezed the chest. Often this led the women into fainting states, and this state also became a standard of attraction. Also in place of the crinolines comes a bustard, with the help of which women gave the back of the dress an excessive bulge. Fashion for such protuberances in clothing conquered all of Victorian England, and only since the age of 75, narrow silhouettes come into fashion. However, the narrow silhouette is fixed for a short time in fashion, as it creates inconvenience when walking, so soon the fashion for bustle returns, only now it is slightly modified and gives a bulge not only from the rear, but also on the sides.
Also, a bright feature of the clothes of the Victorian era is a rich color. The fabrics were treated with aniline, which made the clothes incredibly bright. In addition, the length of the outfits has also changed. So, the Victorian style in women's clothing allowed to bare feet to the ankles, which was a real revolution. In the trend are long gloves and the presence of an umbrella. This attribute not only complemented the image of the Victorian lady, but also protected the skin from sunburn, which in those days was out of fashion.
