Ceramic heater for home

Ceramic heater - this is another kind of heat device for the home. Its heating element is made of ceramic plates, which turns an ordinary heat exchanger into a source of infrared radiation.

This heater works as a convector and as an infrared heater at the same time. It does not burn oxygen, does not overdry the air, so that they can be used even in children's rooms.

Types of ceramic heaters

All ceramic heaters are divided into two main features:

On the first sign heaters are divided into floor, wall, desktop models.

Floor models, as the name implies, stand on the floor on legs or stands. They usually have a height greater than the width. An example of such a heater is a column. Plus this type of heaters in their large thermal capacity, which is explained by the large dimensions of the heat exchanger. Floor models can be used to heat an apartment or a small storage space.

A wall-mounted ceramic heater for the house is attached to the wall using dowels, screws or anchors. Outwardly it resembles an air conditioner - an equally elongated body fixed to the wall. The main advantage of this device is the creation of a thermal dome that covers the entire room. But limited power allows you to warm only one room.

Desktop models are on the table top. They are very small and can give energy to a rather limited space. With such a device, of course, it is impossible to warm a large room.

According to the second feature (heat exchanger designs), they are divided into heaters-convectors and radiators-radiators.

Convertor ceramic heaters warm the air by pumping it through a housing heat exchanger made of metal coated with ceramics. Convection in such devices can be natural and forced. The first is based on the difference between the temperatures of the incoming and outgoing streams. The second is driven by a fan.

Plus such a heater in the instant heating of the room. Literally for half an hour you can warm the warehouse or shop to a comfortable temperature. But as for economy, then it can not be called such.

Ceramic heaters-radiators for the home are more energy-efficient. They heat the room by heating the walls, roofing, ceiling, furniture. They absorb the thermal infrared waves and gradually give them away. Part of the heat is absorbed by the human body.

The infrared rays are irradiated by a ceramic heat exchanger, which is a hollow ceramic tube that is located in front of a metal or ceramic reflector.

And although such a heater is energy-efficient (it consumes 35% less), it is unlikely to heat a large space for them.

Another type of heater-emitter is a gas infrared ceramic heater for the home. The device is ideal for heating residential and utility premises. He is able to heat the room in a short space of up to 60 squares. Comfortable temperature remains for a long time due to heated surfaces. It is a way out of the situation when there is no electricity supply. The device converts energy from gas combustion to infrared radiation.

Pros and cons of a ceramic heater for home

Among the undeniable advantages of heaters with ceramic elements are quiet operation, affordable cost, maintaining an acceptable microclimate, the possibility of remote control, energy efficiency.

The disadvantages include fast cooling and pinpoint action. But ceramic elements are heated longer than metal ones.
