In 1921, the castle Arenberg became the property of the Catholic University of Leuven, and to this day the estate plays the role of the monastery of science - the engineering department is located here, and the building of the monastery is reserved for the largest library in the city. It is worth noting that Leven, in principle, the campus, and therefore the role of the castle Arenberg in the life of the city is quite logical.

If we talk about the external representation of the estate, everything here is very picturesque, as in most similar places in Belgium . The building is built of red brick and sandstone. In the external elements of architecture, traces of late Gothic and Renaissance are clearly traced. On the edges of the structure there are two characteristic towers, crowned by pear-shaped domes with the image of a German eagle.

Not far from the castle of Arenberg in Leuven is the station Heverlee Celestijnenlaan, which can be reached by bus N2, 616.
