Britney Spears was in a very uncomfortable situation. She somehow forgot that she knew Taylor Swift personally. Confusion happened on the air of a radio station, whose guest was 34-year-old Britney, and became public.
A tricky topic
The hosts asked Spears about different things during the blitz-interview. Relaxed singer talked easily and at ease, expressing her point of view, speaking about personal. One of the questions was:
"Who would you prefer to sit in the next seat on the plane: with Katy Perry or with Taylor Swift?".
Britney answered without pause:
"I do not know, it's not an easy choice. With Cathy, we once met at the premiere of the Smurfs. Probably I will choose Taylor Swift, since we have never met with her. "
Such a remark caused confusion among journalists, fans of Spears, and even of Swift itself.

Maiden memory
They met at least twice: in 2008, the girls met at the MTV Video Music Awards, as evidenced by the joint photos, and in 2003, when Taylor was not yet popular. A picture of their first meeting was posted on the Internet by longtime Swift fans.
