One of the interesting architectural monuments of Brunei is the bridge of friendship "Malaysia-Brunei", connecting the two countries. It is erected across the Pandauran River, the banks of which serve as the border of two states.

The construction of the bridge was prompted by the strengthening of partnership and friendly relations between states. The length of the structure is 189 m, and 14 m wide. The bridge does not belong to ancient buildings, since construction works began only in 2011, and ended in 2013. A solemn event was organized on the occasion of the opening ceremony, which was attended by delegations from both countries. From the side of Brunei, even the sultan of Hassanal Bolkiah was present. During the opening, a memorial plaque was signed and the ribbon was symbolically cut.
Geographically, the bridge is located between the Brunei region of Temburon and the Malaysian Limbang. Constructed from a gray stone, in appearance it does not differ much from bridges in other cities, if not for its diplomatic significance. Along the entire length at an equal distance are the poles with the flags of both states. They are installed alternately - after the flag of Brunei goes the Malaysian.
The bridge is designed for all types of land transport. Its construction by the authorities was commented on as "an excellent opportunity for both peoples to see all the conveniences and advantages of neighboring countries." The journey takes no more than a few minutes, and on the ferry people had to travel for two hours.
