How to glue the parquet board?

For laying a parquet board today there are four main types of glue. It:

  1. Dispersion glue is the most environmentally friendly, because it is based on water. When it is kneaded, there are no toxic fumes, the glue can be used in any residential area. However, it is necessary to use water-dispersion adhesive for parquet, which has a moisture-resistant coating or for gluing under the parquet of moisture-resistant plywood. The most popular brands in the modern market are Austrian dispersion glue Jurgi and French Bostik Tarbicol KP 5 .
  2. Glue based on solvents (artificial resins). It is used quite often, since lack of water makes it ideal for gluing parquet from any type of wood. In this category, such brands of glue as Ibola , Bonikol and Minova proved to be the best .
  3. Two-component glue for a parquet board. It is the most durable of all existing glue for parquet today. Its hardening occurs twice as fast as conventional one-component adhesives for a parquet board, and the composition is three times stronger. Use such glue is possible for all types of wood and on any basis, whether it be plywood, wood or concrete. Jet adhesive Uzin or Berger Bond will be an excellent choice for gluing even the most massive laths.
  4. Polyurethane adhesive for parquet board. In the composition of such glue there is no water, no solvents. It can be either one-or two-component. They can attach boards of large sizes and thickness, because the adhesive composition is quite strong. The best producers in this category of adhesives are the trademarks Bostik and Berger Bond .
