Aberdare National Park


The Aberdare National Park or, as it is also called, Abardare is a real natural attraction located in Kenya , 200 km from Nairobi . And its main feature and what thousands of tourists go to see is the mountainous landscape.

On the territory, the total area of ​​which is approximately 800 km ², mountain forests are incredibly beautiful. Do you want to be in this fairy tale? Then welcome to Aberdare. Here you will see the mighty waterfalls and streams, the melody of which fascinates, various fauna representatives, as well as the evergreen flora.

In this area there is a rather humid climate, from which the park is constantly enveloped in fog. This is amazing, but in hot Kenya there is a cool oasis in which the air never warms up to high temperatures. By the way, if you plan to visit this landmark, do not forget that the best for that time - January and February, as well as June-October. Of course, if you are not afraid of the feeling of lack of oxygen and the fact that your transport will be stuck in a diffuse road on the way to the national park, then you can take a chance and visit it at another time of the year.

Be sure to take your camera with you, to shoot the highest in Aberdare mountain peaks: Kinangop (3900 m) and Oldonyo Lesatima (4010 m). It is worth mentioning that in the park the largest waterfall reaches 280 m (Keryuru Kahuru).

In the park, tourists move with armed guards. It's all for your safety. On the territory of the park loafers, buffaloes, lions, leopards, elephants and many other animals roam freely. Also in dense forests live wild boars, water goats, antelopes, monkeys, bongos, etc.
