World Theater Day

Did you know that the first mention of the theater dates back to 497 BC? Greece became a springboard for the development of theatrical game. In the modern world, despite the active development and promotion of cinematography, millions of people around the world attend performances, still watching the scene with a sinking heart.

Features of the holiday

The International Theater Day is held on March 27 from year to year. The original initiator of this tradition was the International Theater Institute for UNESCO 54 years ago (1961). It should be noted that the festivities themselves were held only next year.

This day is not only an occasion to celebrate talented actors, to attend a concert or performance. The event is always held under the constant motto, which positions the theater as an instrument for achieving and maintaining peace and understanding among different peoples around the world.

It's interesting that this is a professional day not only for those who play on stage. The celebration is dedicated to all employees of this sphere, including stage directors, actors and understudies of the troupe, make-up artists, producers, sound engineers, lighting technicians, decorators, decorators, ticket operators and even cloakroom attendants. Do not forget that this date is "directed" to all not indifferent viewers.

Events on Theater Day

Day of the theater is a holiday for thousands, if not millions of people around the world who have devoted their lives to fine art. In many countries, incredible shows, concerts, premieres of long-awaited performances are held. Especially noteworthy are the "skits" who have opened the world to many talented people.

For people who are not involved in the theater, this is another reason to attend a creative meeting with your favorite artist, to get to a master class in acting. Not all festivals are held on this day, many of them are "closer" to this date.
