Where do bed bugs come from?

Bed bugs (corpophytes) are a kind of insects that have been a problem for many people for decades. In view of their parasitic lifestyle, bedbugs feed exclusively on the blood of other mammals and humans.

Bed bugs: the reasons for the appearance

Insects are practically not susceptible to external stimuli such as light, temperature, humidity, and therefore survive in all conditions. Sometimes, even a few bugs that have fallen into a favorable environment, are able to breed for a couple of days to the scale of the colony.

Answering the question, where do bed bugs come from, it can be noted that there are a lot of ways to penetrate parasites. In this case, the presence of insects is not a sign of uncleanliness of the owners. However, non-observance of hygiene, cleanliness and sanitary norms only promotes the spread and reproduction of parasites.

Bedbugs can get into the room, catching on clothes, animal hair or other personal things. In addition, insects themselves are quite mobile and can "come" to you from neighbors on ventilation shafts or other technological holes. There are cases of parasites falling into apartments with poplar fluff or birds.

Habitat

To effectively combat parasites, you need to know how to detect bed bugs. The range of their habitat is mattresses, bed linen, as well as furniture, located in close proximity to beds. The cause of the appearance of bed bugs in these places is the nocturnal lifestyle, that is, insects "hunt" at the moment when a person sleeps.

Comfortable conditions for their existence are weak ventilation, relative heat and high humidity. There are cases of parasites under the wallpaper and skirting in the old houses. That is why when replacing the ceiling , walls and floor, the surface is better treated with special preparations.

Prevention and control of bugs

Until now, it has not been proven that bed bugs can carry infections or dangerous for human viruses, but it is established that the causative agents of such diseases as typhoid and fever live for quite a long time in the body of the parasite. Constant itching in places of bites, violation of human sleep and psychological balance, development of allergies, general malaise - that's why bedbugs are dangerous.

The main method of fighting the parasite is heat treatment of furniture, with subsequent coating it with antiseptic, disinfectants. The process requires the dismantling of furniture and, as a rule, will be repeated several times. The fact is that on eggs of bedbugs, even strong chemical preparations, as a rule, do not work, so a single room treatment will not be enough.

Still, the main reason for biting bed bugs is the high mobility of individual individuals, so it is strongly recommended that heat treatment of clothing after visiting "dubious" places. Animals after walks in the summer are better to bathe in the bathrooms with the addition of weak antibacterial solutions (sodium chloride, potassium permanganate).

To preventive measures include ventilation of premises, support of sanitary and hygienic standards, periodic testing of sleeping places for the presence of a parasite.
