One of the main attractions of Ufa is the Lala-Tulip mosque. Today this mosque is the main cultural, educational and religious Muslim center not only in Ufa, but also throughout Bashkortostan.

The Lala-Tulip mosque is also a madrasah, that is, an institution where Muslim children study. They teach in the madrasah the history of Islam and Sharia, study Arabic and the Koran.

History of the mosque Lala-Tulip

The Lyalya-Tulip mosque began to be built in 1989 according to the project of the architect V. V. Davlyatshin. Construction was completed in nine years. The donations of believers and funds allocated by the government of Bashkortostan were used to build the mosque.

Work on the project the architect began back in the days of the Soviet Union. First, the administration of Ufa allocated a place for construction in a beautiful park, located on the banks of the Belaya River. The architect conceived the idea of creating a mosque in the shape of a tulip. So the name of the mosque "Lala-Tulip" appeared.

On the sides of the main entrance to the mosque-madrassah there are two octagonal minarets each with a height of 53 meters. With such a tower, the muezzin calls on Muslims to pray. The minarets of the Ufa mosque look like unblown buds of tulips, and the main building of the mosque looks like a fully opened flower.

All guests who came to Ufa, must visit this beautiful building. The interior of the Lyalya-Tulip mosque is beautifully decorated: stained-glass windows, majolica, floral ornaments, many carved details, etc. Up to 300 men can be accommodated in the prayer hall, and 200 women can be found on the balconies of the mosque. The walls of the main building inside are decorated with a serpentine and marble, the floor - with ceramic tiles, it is carpeted. At the mosque there is a hostel, a dining room, a conference hall, a room where wedding ceremonies and names of nuns are held.
