The hour of reckoning: Matt Damon got into trouble because of working with Harvey Weinstein

It seems that the scandal with Harvey Weinstein now influenced one more cinematographer. The public opinion was condemned by actor Matt Damon. It became known that on the eve of the premiere of the film "8 Ocean Girlfriends" in the name of the authors of the picture came a petition signed by 13,000 people. It is about the need to cut out of the film all the scenes with the hero, who played this famous actor.

The cause of indignation of the public were the statements of the star about sexual harassment. In particular, it was about the history of Gwyneth Paltrow. Matt noticed that he did not even intend to interfere in the personal life of the producer and the women affected by him.

Collective responsibility

In the document it is a question of that if Matt Damon appears in this picture, it becomes the certificate of complete impunity of sexual harassment on a workplace. According to statistics, about half of the working American women were at least once subjected to this type of violence.

The action-packed film should go to the US screens a little more than six months from now. The first trailer already appeared on the web, but Damon's character was not seen in it.

The scandal was provoked by the actor's response to the question, would he cooperate with someone who was accused of sexual violence. He said that he would consider every single candidate. Critics immediately noted that the actor did not refuse to work with Weinstein, even after the scandal with Paltrow surfaced.
