Ring with pearls

Pearls are a mixed mineral, and perhaps one of the most controversial in the jewelry business: on the one hand, it is very beautiful and rightly considered the embodiment of femininity and tenderness, but on the other hand, its term is short-lived. This beautiful mineral "lives" for about 90 years, and then loses color, dries up and collapses. Therefore, if a woman plans to make a family heirloom passed from generation to generation from jewelry with pearls, then this plan will fail: pearls, in contrast to diamonds, rubies, cubic zirkonia and other precious stones, pay for their beauty time.

Which pearls to choose?

Pearls are of different types, on which depends its shape, smoothness, color, and, accordingly, price. Most often this mineral is distinguished by its origin:

  1. Sea pearls of Akoya. The ring with sea pearls will cost more than others: it has an incredible shine, perfectly rounded form and in all respects surpasses other types of pearls. This mineral is cultivated in Japan, but you can buy Akoya in China. In Western Europe, it has the highest price, despite the fact that it requires a more careful attitude than the river one, since it has a thin mother-of-pearl shell, which is easy to split. Unpainted Akoya is white, yellow, with a cream tint, and also silvery-blue.
  2. Freshwater pearls. This type of pearl is cheaper than sea, because it has not an ideal shape and is more simple to grow. However, with it, it has a larger palette of colors than the Akoya: pink, lavender, white, purple, lilac, brown and silver pearls make it possible to make more diverse models of rings and other ornaments.
  3. Pearls of the South Seas. It is a very beautiful pearl of golden color (less often gray, blue and brown), which is highly esteemed by aesthetes. It has a large size, because it forms in a large mollusc, whose weight reaches 5 kg. Its main properties include velvety gloss, which is combined with different metals.
  4. Tahitian pearls. This is the most famous black pearl, having the highest sample and large size. It is interesting that black pearls have only the name of black, and with this color it does not unite anything, since it has only dark shades of green, purple, chocolate, gray and cherry. For this reason, picking the same shade for the set becomes a difficult task, and accordingly, the price of such products is greatly increased.

Silver rings with pearls

The ring from silver with pearls looks rather modest: this metal is not as bright as gold, but for the same reason it is in harmony with white pearls.

Silver ring with black pearls - the original version, especially if the pearl has a purple hue.

Silver ring with pink pearls is quite a rare combination, because a warm pink shade is very difficult to combine with "cold" silver: you can often find a ring with pink pearls and multi-colored cubic zirconia that will smooth out the difference of shades between metal and mineral.

Minuses of silver rings with pearls is that both materials require special care: pearls are short-lived, and silver can darken.

Rings with pearls of gold

The gold ring with pearls looks more refined than silver, because the warm golden hue is more in harmony with the gentle mother of pearl inherent in all kinds of this mineral.

White gold

The ring of white gold with pearls is optimally combined only with the white mineral. Often rings of white gold have a laconic model, without ornate patterns with a pearl of medium size.

Yellow gold

A ring of yellow gold with diamonds and pearls is an evening variant, as it combines several bright gems. With this metal, pearls of different colors, sizes and shapes are combined, as the softness of the metallic shade harmonizes with the external features of the pearl. However, the combination of a golden ring with pink pearls is especially feminine: as a rule, such models have a vegetable theme, where pearls decorate branches and flowers.

Orange Gold

The gold ring with black pearls is perfectly combined with the orange metal due to the contrast. Ring with black pearls - initially a bright version, which requires no less bright design, which is achieved with the help of orange gold. With this metal, white and beige pearls also harmonize, especially if the ring is encrusted with white cubic zirkonia or diamonds.
