For the plastering of the furnace, it is possible to use clay, calc-gypsum, cement or lime-glinous solution. To finish lasting a long time, you must be especially careful about the choice of solution and the technology of its application.

The work on furnishing the furnace must begin at the top. Plaster for a brick oven should be made after the final shrinkage of the construction itself, after about 3-4 weeks of operation. The surface must be wetted with water. Using a trowel or grater, apply a liquid solution by spraying, then apply a thicker solution in the consistency. One layer - no more than 0.5 cm, the total thickness of 1.5 cm. When the mixture has grasped, rub it with a grater, moving in circular motions. Smooth corners are obtained through the use of metal or wooden slats. The principle is similar to how they work with slopes.
Incorrect plastering technology, not a properly selected solution, will provoke the appearance of cracks. Avoid this problem can be through reinforcement: tighten the oven burlap, soaked in clay. The walls are also pre-coated with a thin layer of clay. For ready mixes, including decorative stucco for furnaces, reinforcing mesh with a cell of 1x1cm is better.
Features of refractory plaster for the furnace
If you want to get a colored stucco for the stove, do not use oil paints: drying oil burns at elevated temperatures, paint crackles. At the end of the finish, do not heat the fireplace or stove for 3 days, the first furnace should not be 100% power. It is not recommended to coat the plaster. Facing with tiles, for example, is made on the surface of the oven itself with the use of heat-resistant glue mixtures.
The use of ready-made thermosetting compounds is advantageous in that the desired components are mixed in the correct proportions. In addition, such plaster reliably "works" at temperatures up to 800 degrees. This reduces the risk of cracks and spasms. Also their heat transfer is much higher than the same clay solution.
