Personality and social environment

The social environment in which personality formation takes place undoubtedly has a huge impact on the entire process of its formation, although it is not the only fundamental factor determining the direction of its development.

Tell me where you are from, and I'll tell you who you are

Officially or not, any society, even in the most prosperous countries, is subdivided into castes in one way or another, and to what stratum of society the environment in which the individual is brought up and, in the future, the particular individual rotates, is largely indicative of moral, ethical and moral characteristics of its behavior.

It is believed that the acquisition of a certain set of qualities and life skills of the individual in the social environment, initially surrounding it, the phenomenon is so natural that few will dare to challenge it. Although, of course, not everything is so simple, and it is not necessary that a child from a family of alcoholics or drug addicts go on the same path as his parents and had no chance to get into people. Everything is possible in life, just if someone is not too lucky with the environment, then he will have to do much more to rise to a higher stage of the social ladder than to people who were lucky to be born and mature in a prosperous one, in terms of modern society, the situation.

How to call, so will respond

The interaction of the social environment and the individual is a two-edged and interdependent process with the so-called boomerang effect . In other words, how you treat people, so they will treat you. The main criterion by which the society usually evaluates its members is, in fact, the degree of their compliance with a particular social stratum, which first of all includes the observance of the norms of behavior established by the given society (or a particular social group). If an individual has in his arsenal of personal growth all the qualities necessary for a harmonious coexistence with other "party colleagues", then he will most likely not have problems in the line of "personality and social environment". If not, then most likely he will have the role of an outcast and to survive, he will have to move to another social level or find a new environment for which the degree of spiritual and moral characteristics of his personality will be more acceptable. Thus, the social environment of an individual largely depends on the person himself and each of us has the right to choose his environment and social norms that we want to obey.
