What does granite-marble plaster consist of?

The name itself tells the reader that there could not have been any natural fillers. The main components of this plaster are marble chips and fine dust that bind acrylic copolymers in the form of an aqueous emulsion, various solvents, additives and preservatives. All these components make our coating water repellent, durable, resistant to fungi and other harmful effects. In mixed compositions, granite chips are allowed, which slightly changes the characteristics of the plaster. If you are more important in the future strength, then pay attention to the granite-marble mixture. In the Venetian plaster not only marble, but also quartz, malachite, onyx, other valuable rocks of natural stones are used. The appearance of the treated surface also depends on the filler fraction, which can be large-scale invoices (up to 2.5 mm and larger), medium, shallow and fine (0 ... 0.3 mm). The larger the particle, the greater the material consumption.

The marble is best associated with polymers, but granite has a higher strength, and quartz is used to produce an excellent smooth surface. Therefore, think carefully about which structure to purchase for your repair work. We all know that with all the magnificent advantages of natural stone also has some drawbacks - it's cold stuff. Consequently, most often it is used in halls, corridors, for decorating facades, decorating the bathroom, non-residential premises, highlighting various niches or arched constructions, columns . Very good marble stucco looks on large areas, perfectly enhancing the image of the owner of the estate.

In order to minimize the effect of corrosion on metal structures covered with granite-marble plaster, they must be treated with a primer. Do not forget that it is prepared on a water basis. Another drawback of this coverage is the difficulty of repairing a separate local site. It is also necessary to observe other precautions - to work in good warm weather and when there is no rain on the street, avoid direct hot sun rays on the wall. All electrical appliances installed in the surface must be disconnected until the plaster is completely dry. The applied layer of material should not exceed the allowable thickness (two sizes of a fraction of marble or granite chips). If you provide all these necessary conditions, then after about two days you will get a smart plastered marble surface, which for many years will please the eyes of its owner.
