Liechtenstein - visa

Liechtenstein is a small state, but the rules and laws in it are the most European ones. And, despite the fact that the principality does not belong to the European Union, it once signed the Schengen Agreement. This means that all Russians wishing to visit this small and unique country of Liechtenstein need a Schengen visa.

What visas are in Liechtenstein?

What documents are needed for a visa?

The most popular visa is a tourist visa (short-term, type C), to obtain it you need to collect the next stack of documents and submit all documents at the same time not later than 3 months before the proposed trip:

  1. Your passport and at least two blank sheets in it, and, the validity of your passport at the end of your journey to the Principality of Liechtenstein must be at least a quarter.

  7. For the duration of your journey through the Schengen zone, you must have a valid medical insurance with a minimum coverage of € 30,000. When submitting documents, you will be asked to photocopy it.
  8. You must provide any confirmation of your reservation for a hotel or rented apartment / house with your details and payment / partial prepayment, as well as the full address where you plan to stay.
  9. Official reference from work with the stamp and the signature of the head of the organization, which confirms your position, experience, salary, the status of the vacationer and a guarantee that you are a full-fledged employee and you are listed on return for your workplace.
  10. If you are an individual entrepreneur or an employee of an emergency, you will be asked to copy copies of the TIN and OGRN of the enterprise;
  11. If you are a student, you will need an official certificate from the place of study with all contacts of the school, a copy of the student card (if the student), a birth certificate, and a letter of income from your sponsor. Pensioners must provide a copy of their pension certificate.
  12. Your planned itinerary in Liechtenstein in English, German, Italian or French.
  13. If, since September 15, 2015, you have never received a Schengen visa, you will need to make your fingerprints for the design of the biometric schengen.

    Other information on obtaining a visa

    1. The time limit for reviewing your visa documents for a trip to Liechtenstein is 3-5 working days after the payment of the consular fee of € 35. If you make out through the visa center - another 1480 rubles and a service fee of € 23. Payment is charged on the spot at the official rate. The duty does not need to be paid for children under 6 years old and children under 16 who are inscribed in the parent's passport. Service centers need an additional 2-3 working days to forward documents.
    2. You get a tourist visa for up to 90 days for a stay in Liechtenstein. If you received a double or multiple entry visa, the days of stay are considered within 6 months from the first crossing of the principality boundary.
