The Kingdom of Lesotho is an enclave state located on the territory of the South African Republic. Most of this small country is at an altitude of more than 1 thousand meters above sea level. To enter the Kingdom of Lesotho, citizens of the Russian Federation, as well as citizens of Ukraine, must obtain a visa.

How much is?
A visa to Lesotho for a trip for tourism purposes is issued for a 30-day period. There are no restrictions on movement within the country.
The price of a one-time tourist visa through the British Embassy will be $ 110. If you need a multiple entry visa you will have to pay $ 220.
For Ukrainian citizens, a permit for entry through the embassy in Germany will cost € 50 for a single visit and € 80 for a multiple entry.
If the entry permit is issued at the embassy in the territory of the Russian Federation, the consular fee is paid in rubles upon submission of documents to the embassy or consulate of Great Britain or Northern Ireland. For citizens of Ukraine, the fee is paid at the visa center before sending documents to the embassy in Germany.
When you issue a visa document in South Africa, a consular fee must be paid in local currency.
What documents are needed?
When you receive an authorization document in the territory of the Russian Federation, you must submit to the consulate a package of documents from:
- a passport valid for 6 months from the planned date of travel and having two blank pages for visas;
- two photos 3,5х4,5;
- a questionnaire filled out in block letters in English;
- originals or copies of documents confirming the purchase or booking of air tickets for the dates of travel, hotels and payment of insurance;
- invitation (if you need a business visa);
- confirmation of the solvency of the tourist (certificate from the place of work or an extract from the bank account);
- birth certificates and certificates from the place of study for minors;
- notarized consent for the departure of the child at his departure with one of the parents or accompanied by third parties.
When you issue a visa document in Germany or South Africa, you need to file the same package of documents.
However, in the event that you have a valid multivisa in South Africa, in order to obtain a document allowing entry into Lesotho, it may be sufficient to file a questionnaire, passport and provide accommodation for the duration of the trip.

Visa-free entry
If there is a valid two-time visa or a multi-visa for South Africa, visa-free entry can be issued.
