How to use a glue gun?

Nowadays, when traditional tools and materials are replaced by new and more effective ones, buyers have a choice. Now to glue two different parts, it is not necessary to buy PVA glue or "Moment". It's much easier to use such a novelty as an adhesive gun.

Its main advantages are, first, the speed of gluing surfaces, secondly, compactness and, thirdly, universality. This device will help you glue wood, metal, plastic, paper, fabric and other types of materials. Such an assistant is useful for small household repairs, packaging of various products or any creative work (creation of topiary, decorative figures, hairpins and other types of costume jewelry). But before you include the adhesive gun in the socket, be sure to read the instruction on how to use it correctly.

Rules for using an adhesive gun

  1. First of all, you should prepare the device for the first switch-on. Insert the new rod into the hole in the back of the thermo gun and push it in until it stops.
  2. Turn the gun into an outlet and install it on the stand, if it is available. Do this in such a way that the nozzle of the gun is pointing down.
  3. Wait for the device to warm up. Usually it takes from 2 to 5 minutes and depends on the power and features of this model. You will learn that the gun is ready to work, by a droplet of molten glutinous substance, which will appear at the end of the spout.
  4. To glue the two surfaces, just pull the trigger of the gun. The hot glue will flow in portions from the nozzle of the device, which should be carefully guided to the desired location. Apply glue only on one surface, which then should be pressed to the other and fixed.

Act as accurately as possible and neat, because this glue has the property of freezing in a matter of seconds.

As you can see, it's very easy to use an adhesive gun. However, do not forget about the precautions that must be observed when working with this device:

  1. The working surface is better covered with a newspaper or a film, so as not to stain the table.
  2. Be careful when handling the surfaces to be bonded. If from metal or wood the frozen glue "spidery" easily lag behind, then the paper stained with hot glue can not be saved any more.
  3. Never touch the nozzle of the gun, as it is very hot. This applies to the molten glue itself - if it gets on the skin, you can get a thermal burn.
  4. And, at last, observe the standard rules for working with electrical appliances: do not leave the glue gun unattended, keep the device out of the reach of children and use only a working electrical outlet. It is also not recommended to keep the thermo gun on for more than 1 hour.
